Enrolment

1) Applying for a bachelor programme or a single-cycle degree programme

Non-EU citizens residing abroad who do not have an Italian resident permit, must submit their formal pre-application to the Italian Embassy or Consulate in the country of origin, by the annually established deadline. To be eligible for enrolment the applicants are required to pass an Italian language exam which will take place on the 2nd September (not required for courses in English) and the entrance examination when required.
Documents to be submitted with the application (please bring the original and a copy)
• Passport/identity card
• Codice fiscale (taxpayer’s code)
• 3 passport-size photos
• A final school leaving qualification, translated into Italian by an official translator, authenticated by the authorities of the country where it was obtained, along with the Dichiarazione di Valore in Loco (Certificate of Equivalence of Qualification) issued by the Italian Embassy of the same country
• A certificate attesting that the university entrance examination in the country of origin has been passed whether required by law (e.g. GAO KAO for China, Vestibular for Brazil, etc.)
• Valid residence permit (permesso di soggiorno) for non-EU citizens or the receipt of the permit request.

2) Applying for the second cycle

Non-EU citizens resident abroad must contact the Italian Embassy or Consulate in their country of origin for the pre-application procedure. Once in Italy, they will submit the required documents to International Students Office.
Documents to be submitted with the application
• Passport/identity card
• Codice fiscal (taxpayer’s code)
• 3 passport-size photos
• Bachelor degree or equivalent first level degree translated into Italian by an official translator, authenticated by the authorities of the country where it was obtained, along with the Dichiarazione di Valore in Loco (Certificate of Equivalence of Qualification) issued by the Italian Embassy of the same country
• University transcript with all the exams taken (diploma supplement if available)
• A certificate attesting that the university entrance examination in the country of origin has been passed whether required by law (e.g. GAO KAO for China, Vestibular for Brazil, etc.)
• Valid residence permit (permesso di soggiorno) for non-EU citizens.

How to pay the enrolment fee

All eligible students who wish to enrol must pay the fee by the enrolment date.
The first payment is of 465,00€.
The second payment is determined by the University according to the economic situation and composition of the nuclear family of the enrolled students. In order to obtain a reduction of the amount concerning the taxes and of the registration and enrolment duties (based on the income), the students have to address exclusively the Centre of Fiscal Assistance (Centri di Assistenza Fiscale) agreed upon with the University which are in charge to hand down directly the data concerning the value of the ISEEU to the database of the University.
